POST OFFICE: PAY DISPUTE 2021/22 – OFFICIAL STRIKES SATURDAY 4TH JUNE (CROWNS) AND MONDAY 6TH JUNE (ADMIN & SUPPLY CHAIN)
Further to LTB 235/22 dated 20th May 2022.
Branches are advised that a further home mailing has been sent to our Post Office members (attached) with the next strike dates which are as follows:
- Saturday 4th June – Crown members
- Monday 6th June – Admin & Supply Chain members
We also highlighted to our members the long-awaited publication of the Post Office Annual Report & Accounts for 2020/21. Despite the pandemic, Post Office still made a very healthy profit of £35m which demonstrates that they can well afford to provide our members with a good pay rise, as a small part of the £35m profit could easily be used to fund a pay deal. Instead, Post Office is choosing to impose its will by insisting on a pay freeze for 2021/22. The attached Briefing Document from our Research Department provides a summary of the PO Report & Accounts for your information.
Strike Materials Including Graphics for Social Media
Branches are encouraged to support our Post Office members and Reps on picket lines where possible. The full-time Reps will have details of the picket lines around the country. If you require any further leaflets/posters, the following link provides you with updated materials including social media graphics.
Thank you for your support. Further developments will be reported.
Yours sincerely
Andy Furey
Assistant Secretary
