Update on Peterborough Mail Centre industrial ballot

To give you an update on the current situation.

Today we had the fact-finding meetings for the individuals facing disciplinary action. At the end of the meetings management made the decision there was no case to answer and the individuals will resume their normal duties from tomorrow.

I would like to say I believe the reps and members of the CWU Eastern No5 Branch who showed solidarity in strength in support of the two had a major influence in management’s decision today.

The branch will be meeting to re-assess the situation and further updates will be given.
