Royal Mail: Customer Experience – Industrial Action Ballot Results

Branches are advised the Postal Executive authorised ballots for Industrial Action for our Customer Experience members who had been forced back to the workplace three days per week via Executive Action.  This Trade Dispute centres around the reneging by management of a Joint Statement agreed in April 2022.

The two ballots closed today and the results are provided below.  The ballot certificates from the Independent Scrutineer are attached.Strike ActionYes Votes19487.78%No Votes2712.22%Turnout55.25%Action Short of a StrikeYes Votes19388.53%No Votes2511.47%Turnout55.25 %

*Spoilt ballot papers – 3

Our Customer Experience members from across six Units have returned good “Yes” votes and we have also surpassed the legal threshold for turnout in both ballots.

Our thanks go to the Reps and Branches concerned for their efforts and to the members for their support.  Branches must take immediate steps to publicise the results by bringing this LTB to the attention of CE members involved.

The Postal Executive, at its meeting tomorrow will be considering next steps and we will be consulting with our CE Reps.

Yours sincerely
