Shared Parental Leave (SPL)

Please find below and attached the latest Factsheet from the Equal Opportunities Department.

This new provision came into force in April this year.  In the first instance you should check with your employer to see how your shared parental leave rights compare to the statutory minimum.

As this is a very new piece of legislation, we would be interested to know how the implementation of SPL is being managed.  If any Branches have evidence of their members experiencing any difficulties, we would be grateful if these could be notified to us accordingly.
