FUTURE OF THE USO 

TO ALL POSTAL BRANCHES

The CWU has today submitted our response to the Ofcom consultation on the future of the universal postal service, following the publication of their report in January of this year. The consultation response can be read in full here cwu.org/ofcom

We have also produced a CWU representatives’ briefing gives an outline of both our response to the options laid in the report and our agenda and approach to the ongoing negotiations with Royal Mail. We ask that every branch ensures this communication is distributed and discussed in every workplace. Here is a copy of the representatives briefing.

We will be hosting a live session with our members today at 3:30pm on the CWU YouTube Channel. This will be available on catch up for those still at work and within the next two weeks we will be holding an evening live event where we will take questions directly from our members.

There will also be a significant debate and presentation on this issue at our Conference.
